Andhra Pradesh, the Only State with Three Industrial Smart Cities: Piyush Goyal

From Our Correspondnet

New Delhi: Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal on Tuesday praised Andhra Pradesh as a state with both visionary leadership under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and abundant resources, positioning it as a prime destination for investments.

Speaking at a preparatory event for the upcoming 30th CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, Goyal described Naidu as the architect of reforms and the real face behind Ease of Doing Business in India. “My brother Chandrababu has worked tirelessly to improve the living standards of the people of Andhra Pradesh. Hosting the CII Partnership Summit for the seventh time reflects his progressive outlook,” he said.

Recalling Naidu’s earlier contributions, Goyal noted that he introduced HITEC City in Hyderabad in 1998 and is now building one of the most advanced capital cities in the country. He highlighted that Andhra Pradesh is the only state in India developing three plug-and-play industrial smart cities—at Krishnapatnam, Orvakal, and Kopparthi.

The minister urged foreign delegates to seize the opportunities available in India and collaborate with Andhra Pradesh to expand trade and investments.

CII Director-General Chandrajit Banerjee acted as moderator for the session, which focused on positioning India as a global hub for investment.
