Dubai: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday invited the UAE-based Sharaf Group to establish modern logistics and warehousing facilities in the state, highlighting its strong infrastructure, skilled manpower, and growing industrial ecosystem.
Naidu held discussions with Sharafuddin Sharaf, Vice Chairman of the Sharaf Group and founder of Sharaf DG, during his ongoing visit to the UAE. The meeting focused on developing logistics projects in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in the state’s emerging industrial corridors.
Given the Sharaf Group’s experience in developing logistics parks across several Indian states, Naidu urged the company to collaborate with the state government to build advanced logistics parks and warehouses. The group expressed keen interest through its Indian subsidiary, Hind Terminals Pvt. Ltd., and requested that the state identify locations with railway and port connectivity.
Naidu assured full support, stating that Andhra Pradesh is ready to make necessary policy changes to attract investment. “Our state has extensive ports and national highways, making it ideal for cargo movement. We are committed to reducing logistics costs from 14% to 8–9%,” he said, inviting the Sharaf Group to participate in the Global Investors Summit to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 14–15.
Sharaf Group representatives conveyed their strong interest in investing in India and confirmed plans to explore opportunities in Andhra Pradesh soon.
