Dubai: In a major boost to Amaravati’s development plans, Dubai-based Sobha Realty has announced a ₹100-crore donation to build a world-class state library in the Andhra Pradesh capital region. The announcement came during a meeting between Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Sobha Group Founder and Chairman P.N.C. Menon in Dubai on Tuesday.
Naidu welcomed the gesture and thanked Menon for contributing to the creation of a landmark institution in Amaravati. He invited Sobha Realty to partner in the capital’s broader infrastructure and housing projects, explaining that the government aims to develop Amaravati into one of the best-planned cities globally.
The Chief Minister also highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s vast opportunities in real estate and infrastructure, including industrial corridors, ports, housing townships, malls, luxury hotels, and convention centers. Menon briefed Naidu on Sobha Realty’s ongoing projects across 14 Indian states and in Gulf countries such as Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar.
Naidu invited Menon to attend the upcoming Global Investors Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 14–15, and sought his cooperation in attracting investments from the UAE to Andhra Pradesh.
