Amaravati: In a major boost to youth skilling and employment, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has begun work on a state-of-the-art Construction Skills Training Institute (CSTI) near Nekkallu in Amaravati. The facility is coming up on a 4-acre site allotted by the APCRDA.
Vijayawada Cluster Project Manager Vadde Venkat Reddy, Cluster Head (Accounts & Administration) Gade Ramakrishna, and Project Director L. Prabhakaran performed the ground-breaking ceremony on Wednesday.
The ₹369-crore institute will train youth in modern construction technologies and related trades, with operations set to begin by February 2026. L&T, known for its expertise in skill development in the construction sector, aims to create a globally competitive workforce aligned with Andhra Pradesh’s Swarna Andhra 2047 vision.
The initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities across the construction and allied industries while contributing to Amaravati’s industrial and economic growth.
