RTGS Centres across state to be set up

13 New RTGS Command Control Centres to Come Up Across AP

From Our Correspondnet

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government is setting up 13 Real-Time Governance System (RTGS) Command Control Centres across the erstwhile district headquarters, all designed on a uniform model and linked to the state’s central RTGS hub in Amaravati. Each district centre will be equipped with the necessary infrastructure and connected to data from all government departments. The district collectors will oversee the functioning of these centres.

At the state level, the government is developing a modern RTGS headquarters near the Secretariat in Amaravati, housed in a newly constructed multipurpose building. The upgraded facility will act as the nerve centre for real-time monitoring, data analytics, and coordination among departments. The state aims to expand the scope of RTGS services, which already provide over 750 citizen services through the WhatsApp Governance initiative.

Under the AWARE 2.0 system, weather data will be accessed in collaboration with ISRO through satellite monitoring. To integrate data from all government departments, a comprehensive Data Lake is also being established, serving as a unified information source for the RTGS network.

Key Features of the State-Level RTGS Centre:

  • Integrated Command and Control Centre

  • Workstations for 264 operators

  • A large conference hall with seating for 338 members

  • A mini-conference room for smaller meetings of up to 14 participants

  • Dedicated offices for the Chief Minister and RTGS Director

The idea of setting up RTGS centres in all district headquarters was first proposed in 2018 under the TDP government, and work had begun in a few districts. The project was later shelved by the YSRCP government. With the coalition returning to power, the initiative has regained momentum. The state now targets completion of the main centre in Amaravati along with all 13 district units by the end of this year.

The project is being implemented by NCC-Matrix, while College Design Pvt. Ltd. serves as the third-party auditor and Project Management Consultant (PMC).

Facilities at District RTGS Centres:

  • Integrated Command and Control Centre

  • District-level RTGS and CCTV Data Centre

  • AP Fibernet District Network Centre

  • Conference hall for review meetings by the Collector and SP

Once operational, these centres will significantly strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s real-time governance capabilities, enabling faster response, integrated data monitoring, and efficient service delivery across districts.
