Minister P Narayana Concludes Three-Day UAE Tour, Meets Industry Leaders

Dubai/Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Dr. Ponguru Narayana concluded his three-day visit to United Arab Emirates, where he held a series of high-level meetings with industrial leaders to attract investments across multiple sectors including waste management, infrastructure, and shipbuilding.

During the final day of his tour on Wednesday, the minister met representatives of BEEAH Facility, Tecton Engineering & Construction, and Carbonatik, urging them to explore opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and attend the upcoming CII Partnership Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam on November 14–15.

At the BEEAH headquarters in Sharjah, the minister reviewed the company’s globally recognized waste management and recovery systems, which have transformed municipal operations across the UAE. BEEAH officials made a detailed presentation on smart waste collection and recycling models. Minister Narayana invited the company to partner with Andhra Pradesh in establishing waste-to-energy and recycling plants, aligning with the state’s goal of making its urban areas dump-free municipalities.

Later, in Ajman, the minister met S. Lakshman, Managing Director of Tecton Engineering & Construction, a global infrastructure company with 22 years of experience in power, oil, gas, and large-scale civil projects. Discussions focused on opportunities in reservoir construction, pumping stations, and electrical substations, as well as collaboration in the Amaravati capital city development. Tecton expressed keen interest in participating in major infrastructure projects in Andhra Pradesh.

In the evening, the minister held discussions in Dubai with executives of Carbonatik, a U.S.-based company specializing in mining, power, shipbuilding, inland waterways, and aviation. The company, which operates in Sri Lanka, Zambia, and five other countries, expressed interest in investing in shipbuilding and aviation projects in Andhra Pradesh.

Throughout his visit, Minister Narayana met several CEOs and chairpersons of leading UAE-based firms, highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s speed of doing business, investor-friendly governance, and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s focus on industrial growth. He emphasized that the state’s infrastructure, port connectivity, and policy support make it a prime destination for global investors.

The minister formally invited all participating companies to join the Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, promising government facilitation and fast-track clearances for investors.

Minister Narayana was accompanied by CRDA Commissioner Kanna Babu, Municipal Administration Director Sampath Kumar, and retired IAS officer Srinivas during the visit.

The delegation returned to Hyderabad late Wednesday night, marking the conclusion of a successful investment outreach mission aimed at strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s international industrial ties.
