Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday remotely laid the foundation stones for seven industrial projects in his constituency, Kuppam, involving a total investment of ₹2,203 crore across 241 acres. The projects span key sectors such as electronics, electric vehicles, dairy, food processing, and women’s entrepreneurship.
Among the firms investing are Hindalco (₹586 crore) for mobile and laptop components, Sreeja Dairy (₹290 crore) for an integrated dairy unit, SVF Soya (₹373 crore) for a cooking-oil and protein unit, Mother Dairy (₹260 crore) for a juice and pulp plant, and E-Royce EV (₹200 crore) for an advanced electric-vehicle centre. An ALEAP Women’s Industrial Park and other agro-linked ventures complete the package.
Naidu said the projects would create 22,330 direct and indirect jobs and transform Kuppam — once among the state’s most backward areas — into an emerging industrial hub. He pledged fast-track clearances through the SIPB, assured infrastructure support, and urged investors to leverage local resources and manpower.
The state is also planning additional investments worth ₹6,339 crore from eight more firms soon, potentially generating 43,000 jobs, positioning Kuppam as a growing centre for EV technology, food logistics, and women-led enterprise.
