Kanigiri (Prakasam District): Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday inaugurated a new MSME Park at Peda Eerlapadu in Kanigiri and virtually launched and laid foundation stones for 50 MSME parks across 17 districts of Andhra Pradesh, marking a major phase in the state’s industrial revival drive.
In the second phase of MSME park development, Naidu inaugurated 15 industrial parks spread over 329 acres and laid the foundation for another 35 parks — both government and private — covering 587 acres. The Chief Minister also inaugurated 25 industries that have gone into production, involving an investment of ₹25,256 crore.
Connecting virtually with entrepreneurs from Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Anakapalli and other districts, Naidu said the new industrial parks will open vast employment opportunities and boost rural entrepreneurship. “Creating wealth from waste is our new approach,” he said, referring to the newly established Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants as an example of sustainable industrial innovation that benefits farmers as well.
He reiterated that the coalition government’s goal is to make Andhra Pradesh a hassle-free destination for entrepreneurs. “If you have an idea, you can start an industrial unit here. We are providing power, water, roads, and common infrastructure in every industrial park,” Naidu said.
Highlighting the turnaround under his leadership, the Chief Minister recalled that when the government took charge 17 months ago, the state was “in a vortex of problems.” “We promised to restore the AP brand — today, a festival of investments is unfolding across the state,” he said.
Naidu also announced that the government will launch 70 more MSME parks by January, as part of a comprehensive plan to ensure industrial growth reaches every constituency. “We will establish industrial parks in all 175 Assembly constituencies and ensure that every family has at least one entrepreneur,” he declared.
The virtual event was attended by ministers, MPs, MLAs, and senior officials across the districts. Naidu said that with 87 locations witnessing simultaneous inaugurations and foundation stone ceremonies, Andhra Pradesh is demonstrating its new momentum in industrial growth.
“Employment generation is not a slogan — we are showing how to create entrepreneurs,” Naidu said, adding that the new parks will be the backbone of the state’s long-term economic transformation.
