New Delhi: The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) is set to establish its new office complex in Amaravati, with administrative approvals granted for construction on the allotted 2.05-acre site. The update was conveyed by Deputy CAG K.S. Subrahmanyan in a letter to Union Minister P. Chandra Sekhar, who welcomed the move, calling it a significant step in strengthening the capital’s institutional ecosystem.
In Parliament, Minister Chandra Sekhar also announced that an advanced regional postal office will be built in Amaravati at an estimated cost of ₹80 crore. Responding to a question from Anantapur MP Ambika Lakshminarayana, he stated that five new post offices have already been built in Andhra Pradesh between 2020–21 and 2024–25.
Meanwhile, the minister met Union AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav to review progress on key health infrastructure projects. The discussion focused on expediting the proposed 100-bed hospital and the Central Yoga and Naturopathy Institute in Nadimpalem, Guntur district.
The developments mark continued central support for Amaravati’s institutional and health infrastructure, complementing Andhra Pradesh’s broader efforts to accelerate capital-region development.
