New Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh government has signed an agreement with National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) Ltd. for the construction of a new Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in the national capital at an estimated cost of ₹105.5 crore.

The new complex will be built over a 2.49 lakh sq ft area and is expected to serve as a modern administrative and hospitality hub for the state in New Delhi.

The agreement was signed by Praveen Kumar, Resident Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh Bhavan, and Anil Kumar, Chief General Manager of NBCC.

According to officials, the two parties will soon sign a separate agreement under which NBCC or one of its subsidiaries will undertake the annual maintenance of the building for at least five years after the project is completed.

NBCC said the new Andhra Pradesh Bhavan is being designed as a symbol of contemporary architecture, reflecting modern design standards while catering to the state’s administrative and guest accommodation requirements in the national capital.

The project marks a significant step in upgrading Andhra Pradesh’s official infrastructure in New Delhi, where the state has been working to establish a modern facility following its bifurcation in 2014.

Further details regarding the project’s construction timeline and completion schedule are expected to be announced in due course.
