Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to establish a modern, iconic cultural centre in the Amaravati capital region, asking them to immediately identify suitable land and conceptualise a name that reflects the state’s culture and traditions.
The direction was issued at the 56th Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Authority meeting held at the State Secretariat on Monday. The Authority cleared a series of major proposals linked to capital development, infrastructure expansion, and institutional projects.
Addressing officials, the Chief Minister underlined the need for a permanent, world-class venue in Amaravati to host government and cultural events. He said the proposed cultural centre should mirror Andhra Pradesh’s heritage while meeting international standards.
Naidu also instructed officials to complete the Amaravati Quantum Computing Centre within the stipulated timeline, stressing that such institutions would position the capital as a future-facing technology hub.
Focus on Capital Infrastructure and Livability
The Chief Minister directed CRDA and ADC officials to ensure full-scale infrastructure at layouts allotted to farmers under the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS), and to resolve farmers’ issues without delay. He also called for the development of forest areas within the capital region to enhance Amaravati’s natural appeal, citing forests, river systems and hillocks as key ecological assets.
Naidu asked officials to promote green tourism by developing parks, planting flowering plants across the capital area, and ensuring the availability of international-standard hotels for visitors. He emphasised fast-tracking hotel and hospitality projects to support tourism and official activity.
