Amaravati: The proposed Amaravati Quantum Computing Centre (AQCC) is set to become one of the flagship science and technology facilities in the capital city, according to the architectural design documents reviewed by BizAndhra.

The building, with a total floor area of 4,201 sq.m, will feature a Quantum Computing Laboratory, a MER (Materials and Electrochemical Research) Lab, and multiple R&D and collaborative workspaces. The functional plan also includes administrative offices, conference rooms, mechanical equipment zones, and visitor galleries that aim to educate the public without compromising security protocols.

The layout includes:

  • Ground floor: 1,999 sq.m

  • First floor: 1,992 sq.m

  • Basement: 210 sq.m

  • Terrace (Headroom & Control Room): 109 sq.m

  • External deck: 130 sq.m

Concept images show a futuristic cluster of tall, sleek towers, branded as part of a larger “Quantum Valley” vision—signalling Amaravati’s ambition to position itself as a national hub for emerging technologies, advanced research, and next-generation computing.

The AQCC is expected to anchor Amaravati’s tech corridor as the state accelerates its push into AI, quantum innovation, and high-end scientific infrastructure.
