Visakhapatnam: Global engineering giant Bharat Forge Ltd has expressed strong interest in investing in Andhra Pradesh across key sectors including shipbuilding, advanced electronic systems, and tourism infrastructure, particularly a river cruise project at Gandikota reservoir.

Bharat Forge Vice-Chairman Amit Kalyani met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday evening on the sidelines of the CII Partnership Summit 2025, which began today. The two discussed expanding industrial investments and strengthening the state’s advanced manufacturing base.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Naidu highlighted the strategic advantages Andhra Pradesh offers — including its extensive coastline, ports, and logistics infrastructure — making it ideal for large-scale shipbuilding and marine engineering projects.

Naidu also invited Bharat Forge to explore opportunities in the tourism sector, especially in scenic destinations such as Gandikota, Papikondalu, and Araku Valley, where the government is developing world-class facilities. “Araku coffee has already achieved global recognition as a brand. The state is now focused on creating sustainable tourism ecosystems that combine natural beauty with high-end experiences,” the Chief Minister said.

Amit Kalyani appreciated the state’s proactive industrial policies and the government’s focus on the “Speed of Doing Business,” noting that Andhra Pradesh’s infrastructure and investor-friendly ecosystem align with Bharat Forge’s expansion goals in high-value sectors.

The meeting underscored Andhra Pradesh’s growing appeal as a destination for advanced manufacturing, clean energy, and tourism-related investments, as the state continues to position itself as a key player in India’s trillion-dollar investment vision.
