Dubai: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called for closer industrial cooperation between Andhra Pradesh and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), urging Indian embassy officials in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to facilitate stronger business linkages and investment flows.

Meeting with Dubai Consul General Satish Kumar Sivan and Indian Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission in Abu Dhabi A. Amarnath, Naidu discussed opportunities for UAE companies to invest in sectors such as shipbuilding, green energy, technology, quantum computing, petrochemicals, logistics, aviation, industrial parks, real estate, and data centres.

Naidu highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s long coastline of 1,054 km, its expanding network of ports and airports, and the state’s focus on logistics and infrastructure development. He cited Google’s $15-billion AI and data centre project in Visakhapatnam as an example of the state’s growing appeal for global investors.

The Chief Minister urged the embassy representatives to promote Andhra Pradesh’s opportunities among UAE companies and sovereign funds. “We are building Amaravati and Visakhapatnam as world-class urban and industrial hubs,” he said, inviting UAE firms to attend the Global Investors Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 14–15.

Naidu also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, noting that his proactive diplomacy had transformed India’s image and expanded trade ties with the Gulf region.

Consul General Sivan said India–UAE trade had grown by 50% in three years, with rising collaboration in technology and innovation. Deputy Chief Amarnath added that the UAE was showing interest in investing in education, healthcare, food processing, and green energy in India.

Naidu assured that Andhra Pradesh was ready to provide skilled manpower and policy support for UAE industries. He also urged embassy officials to extend assistance to the Telugu diaspora living in the UAE, announcing that he would attend a special community gathering in Dubai later this week, where he received a warm welcome from Telugu residents upon arrival.
