Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has begun administrative operations from its newly inaugurated Head Office in Amaravati, marking a significant step in the revival of the capital city project.
The new facility was inaugurated recently by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and senior officials have now shifted their offices to the Capital Region to oversee development activities more closely and ensure effective coordination.
On Thursday, Commissioner K. Kannababu, IAS, Additional Commissioner A. Bhargav Teja, IAS, and Engineer-in-Chief R. Gopalakrishna Reddy entered their respective chambers amid Vedic chants and puja rituals, formally commencing operations from the new headquarters.
Officials said the move will help in faster decision-making, better grievance redressal for farmers who contributed land for pooling, and streamlined monitoring of capital works.
The APCRDA described this as a milestone in its effort to establish Amaravati as the People’s Capital, with a renewed focus on efficient governance, timely execution of projects, and improved service delivery.
Staff members extended greetings to the senior leadership and reaffirmed their commitment to work collectively towards the holistic development of the Amaravati Capital Region.
