Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday directed officials to make citizen services more efficient and outcome-oriented, stressing that public satisfaction levels should be the core benchmark for governance in Andhra Pradesh.

Reviewing the functioning of the RTGS Command and Control Centre at the Secretariat, the Chief Minister said each government department’s performance must be subject to monthly audits and data-based evaluation. He asked officials to analyse feedback received through IVRS and QR codes to identify areas of dissatisfaction and address them swiftly.

Naidu said the government’s data lake under RTGS holds enormous information that can guide real-time, evidence-based decisions. He instructed officials to collect feedback every fortnight and prepare a comprehensive action plan every quarter.

Emphasising the need to raise skill levels within the administration, Naidu made it clear that there would be no compromise on accountability or performance. He also asked officials to ensure that eligible citizens left out of welfare schemes due to technical issues are duly covered.

The Chief Minister directed departments to expand WhatsApp Governance, which currently offers over 730 citizen services, and to improve public awareness about its accessibility.

In the review, Naidu also highlighted the growing potential of drone technology in governance, agriculture, and healthcare. He announced plans to organise a Drone Show in December and said the foundation stone for “Drone City” would be laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Srisailam on October 16.

Naidu also urged better use of CCTV networks for traffic management, crime control, and public safety, and reiterated his goal of transforming Andhra Pradesh into a data-smart, citizen-first administration.
