Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday congratulated ministers, senior officials, and government staff for the successful conduct of the CII Partnership Summit, calling their coordinated effort the reason the event became a global talking point. The Chief Minister presented awards to departments and individuals who played key roles in organising the summit.
Addressing the gathering, Naidu said the summit—jointly organised by the CII, Central Government and Andhra Pradesh Government—had brought unprecedented visibility to Visakhapatnam. “The fact that our summit became a topic of discussion in 45 countries shows how far the name of Visakhapatnam has travelled. This success is entirely due to teamwork,” he said.
He noted that the summit generated insightful, meaningful discussions that matched the quality of global platforms. “In Davos, MoUs are signed outside the main venue while the core discussions focus on global trends, opportunities and challenges. We adapted that model innovatively for Visakhapatnam. Delegates were free to attend sessions on subjects they were genuinely interested in,” Naidu said.
The Chief Minister praised the meticulous planning—from venue management to menu selection—and the seamless coordination shown by officials. “From receiving international delegates at the airport to giving them a smooth send-off, the administration ensured there were no hassles anywhere,” he said.
Naidu added that with the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh was moving confidently on the path of all-round development. “The world sees PM Modi as a strong leader. India now has a stable government that inspires confidence in investors. That trust has helped us attract large-scale investments,” he said.
The felicitation event marked the culmination of a summit that not only delivered record investment commitments but also showcased Andhra Pradesh’s organisational capability and global ambition.
