London: Nara Bhuvaneswari, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of Heritage Foods and Managing Trustee of the NTR Trust, was conferred with the prestigious ‘Distinguished Fellowship 2025’ by the Institute of Directors (IoD) at a grand ceremony held at the Global Convention Centre in London in the early hours of Tuesday (IST).
The recognition honours her outstanding contribution to public service, social empowerment, and corporate leadership. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who attended the event as the chief guest, congratulated her and praised her commitment to social causes and ethical business practices.
Bhuvaneswari also received the Golden Peacock Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance on behalf of Heritage Foods, which was recognized for its adherence to global governance standards, innovation, and farmer-centric initiatives.
Under her leadership, Heritage Foods has emerged as one of India’s leading dairy brands, promoting farmer welfare and ensuring quality products reach millions of consumers.
The ‘Distinguished Fellowship’ citation highlighted her work through NTR Trust in areas such as education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and disaster relief. She has led large-scale initiatives including blood donation camps, student scholarship programs, and women’s livelihood projects. The Trust’s free blood transfusion programme for thalassemia patients has received wide appreciation.
Lauding her dual contribution to business and society, the IoD described her as “a role model who combines compassion with corporate excellence.”
Chief Minister Naidu, in his address, said, “Bhuvaneswari’s work embodies values of service, integrity, and empowerment — qualities that define responsible leadership.”
The awards, regarded as among the most prestigious recognitions in corporate and social leadership, further reinforce Andhra Pradesh’s global presence in governance, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy.
