CM Naidu pitches state as hub for semiconductors, green energy, and EV manufacturing
Visakhapatnam: In a major step toward strengthening Indo–Taiwan industrial collaboration, a high-level Taiwanese business delegation led by Mumin Chen met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday and announced plans to establish an Indo–Taiwan Industrial Park in Kuppam with an investment of ₹400 crore.
The delegation, representing several leading Taiwanese companies in electronics and advanced manufacturing, also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the presence of the Chief Minister.
During the meeting, Naidu showcased Andhra Pradesh’s investor-friendly ecosystem, highlighting opportunities in electronics, semiconductors, green energy, electric vehicles, and EV battery manufacturing. He assured full state support for infrastructure, connectivity, and clearances for industries setting up operations in the state.
The delegation announced specific projects that will strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s manufacturing landscape:

Pouchen Group, a global footwear manufacturer, will set up a footwear production facility in Kuppam.

Creative Sensors Inc. plans to establish an image sensor manufacturing unit at Orvakal.

E-Soul India expressed readiness to invest US$ 2.2 billion (₹18,000 crore) to set up an advanced battery manufacturing plant at Orvakal.
Chief Minister Naidu assured the delegation that the state government would provide road, rail, and air connectivity to the proposed industrial parks and facilitate seamless logistics for exports. He also informed that the Government of India is expected to soon announce incentives for the semiconductor sector, which would further benefit upcoming projects in Andhra Pradesh.
Emphasizing the importance of human capital, Naidu requested the Taiwanese delegation to establish a Skill Development Centre in Andhra Pradesh to train local youth in high-tech manufacturing and electronics assembly.
