Seoul / Vijayawada: A ministerial delegation from Andhra Pradesh, led by Ponguru Narayana and BC Janardhan Reddy, is in Seoul to court South Korean companies to invest in the state. During the visit, the delegation formally invited global firms to take part in the 30th CII Partnership Summit, scheduled for 14–15 November in Visakhapatnam.

In multiple meetings, the ministers engaged with leadership from LG Electronics, LS Group, Shoealls (smart / functional footwear / medical-device segment), and SK Hynix.

With LG, the state team emphasized Andhra Pradesh’s ease of doing business, streamlined approvals and investor-friendly policies.

For LS Group, the delegation urged consideration of proposals for investment in the electrical equipment manufacturing domain, citing favorable conditions in Andhra Pradesh.

With Shoealls, whose chair is Cheewong Lee, talks centered on smart footwear, medical devices and functional shoes—sectors where the state sees growth potential under its incentive regime.

To SK Hynix, the delegation pitched Andhra Pradesh as a location for memory module / semiconductor manufacturing units, suggesting that the state is open to hosting a semiconductor unit under global strategies.
The ministers assured full support from the state government, including facilitation of approvals, customized incentives and backing for “full-scale investments.”
Senior officials including MT Krishna Babu, Katamaneni Bhaskar, and Economic Development Board (EDB) representatives accompanied the ministers during the meetings.
The 30th CII Partnership Summit: Context & Ambitions

The CII Partnership Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam (Nov 14–15) is being organized jointly by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Government of India (DPIIT), and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The summit’s theme is “Technology, Trust, and Trade: Navigating the New Geoeconomic Order.”

The state hopes to leverage the summit to convert dialogues into investment commitments, particularly targeting sectors such as electronics, smart manufacturing, renewables, ports / logistics, semiconductors, and advanced technologies.

The delegation’s invitation to Korean firms is part of a broader roadshow / outreach strategy to global industrial players in the lead-up to the summit.
