Visakhapatnam is fully gearing up to host the prestigious 31st CII Partnership Summit on November 12 and 13, 2026.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, is organizing this flagship economic event in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
Operating under the slogan “Companies that choose speed, choose Andhra Pradesh,” the coalition government has framed a strategic roadmap to position the state as India’s premier global investment hub.
Background & Context
The CII Partnership Summit, organized annually since 1995, returns to the port city of Visakhapatnam following a highly successful prior edition. This event serves as India’s premier platform for global economic engagement, policy dialogue, and international trade partnerships.
- Summit Theme: The official theme for 2026 is “Navigating Change: Technology, Trust & Trade – Leading the Way in a New World Order”.
- Global Footprint: The summit will convene over 300 international delegates from 45 countries, including G20 member nations, international business leaders, and global CEOs.
- Leadership: The event is officially chaired by Piyush Goyal (Union Minister of Commerce and Industry) and co-chaired by N. Chandrababu Naidu (Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh).
Summit Schedule & Venue
- Dates: November 12 – 13, 2026
- Venue: Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India
Strategic Targets and Economic Commitments
The Andhra Pradesh government has established aggressive financial and industrial benchmarks to drive the state’s economic resurgence:
| Metric / Sector | Targeted Benchmark & Commitments |
| Long-term Economic Goal | Transform Andhra Pradesh into a $2.4 Trillion economy by the year 2047. |
| Employment Generation | Generate approximately 750,000 (7.5 lakh) new jobs for the state’s youth. |
| Investment Inflow via MoUs | Secure investment agreements worth roughly ₹9.8 Lakh Crore ($120 Billion) across 410 MoUs. |
| Project Execution | Execute groundbreaking ceremonies for existing pipelines worth ₹2.7 Lakh Crore during the event. |
High-Growth Focus Sectors
Rather than relying solely on traditional industrial manufacturing, the 2026 summit focuses heavily on high-tech, clean energy, and future-forward sectors:
- Next-Gen Technology: Initiatives to establish India’s indigenous quantum computing facility, digital infrastructure, and AI innovations.
- Clean & Green Energy: Massive infrastructure pitches for green hydrogen, solar panel manufacturing, and pumped hydro energy storage.
- Defense & Aerospace: Focused tracks on advanced defense hardware manufacturing, technology transfers, and industrial cybersecurity.
- Future Mobility & MSMEs: Advancements in electric vehicles, drones, electronics manufacturing, and tech-driven MSME growth ecosystems.
Global Outreach and Roadshows
To ensure maximum global participation, the state administration is carrying out targeted business roadshows across international financial hubs like Singapore, Europe, and major economic forums. Minister for ITE&C Nara Lokesh and CM Chandrababu Naidu are directly leading delegations to assure global investors of the state’s commitment to the “Speed of Doing Business”.
Following the statutory finalization of Amaravati as the sole, permanent capital of Andhra Pradesh earlier this year, this summit stands as the administration’s primary vehicle to jumpstart long-term commercial investments.
