Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has approved two major hospitality projects in Visakhapatnam district, paving the way for fresh investments of over ₹337 crore and the creation of around 300 direct jobs under the state’s Tourism Policy 2024–29.
Club Mahindra Resort Near Bheemunipatnam
The government has allotted 11.24 acres of land on lease to Shubha Sankalp for setting up a three-star hotel, Club Mahindra-branded resort and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) centre at Annavaram village in Bheemunipatnam mandal, near Visakhapatnam.
According to government orders issued by Ajay Jain, Special Chief Secretary, Tourism Department, the land has been leased for 66 years.
The annual lease rent has been fixed at 1% of the total land value, calculated based on the registration value of the property. The lease amount will increase by 5% every three years.
The project, involving an investment of ₹174.52 crore, is expected to generate 150 direct employment opportunities.
The project will also be eligible for incentives under the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Policy 2024–29.
Incentives for Five-Star Hotel in Madhurawada
In a separate decision, the government approved incentives under the Tourism Policy for a five-star hotel project proposed by Durga Conedev and Padma Hospitality at Madhurawada in Visakhapatnam.
The hotel will be developed with an investment of ₹163.36 crore and is expected to create 150 direct jobs.
The approvals are part of the state’s broader strategy to strengthen tourism infrastructure, attract private investment and position Visakhapatnam as a major destination for leisure tourism, business travel and MICE events.
