Kuppam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday unveiled an ambitious ₹9,321-crore industrial development roadmap for Kuppam, announcing 30 industrial and infrastructure projects that are expected to transform his constituency into one of India’s emerging manufacturing hubs while generating more than 21,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
Speaking at the ‘Swarna Kuppam – Investment Platform’ at Pogurupalle in Gudupalle mandal, Naidu virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple industrial projects and witnessed the signing of several MoUs by the Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA) with leading companies.
Calling it a landmark day in Kuppam’s history, the Chief Minister said the scale of investments attracted to a single constituency was unprecedented and reflected the government’s commitment to ensuring employment for every family.
“My vision is to bring the world’s best industries to Kuppam and make it India’s model industrial constituency,” he said.
₹3,847-Crore Projects Launched
As part of the first phase, Naidu laid foundation stones for 12 major projects involving investments of ₹3,847 crore, spanning clean energy, footwear manufacturing, aerospace and mineral processing.
India’s Largest Battery Anode Plant
The biggest investment comes from the Atha Group, which will establish a ₹2,081-crore battery anode material manufacturing facility.
The plant is expected to become India’s largest battery anode manufacturing unit, supplying critical materials for electric vehicle batteries and reducing India’s dependence on imports.
South Korean Footwear Giant Invests ₹899 Crore
Global footwear manufacturer Hwaseung Group will invest ₹899 crore to establish a 100-acre non-leather footwear manufacturing campus.
The factory will manufacture sports footwear for Adidas and is expected to generate over 17,000 direct jobs, making it one of the largest employment-generating industrial projects in the state.

Aerospace Manufacturing Begins
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation for Pioneer Clean Amps’ ₹150-crore aerospace manufacturing project, which will produce two-seater trainer aircraft, marking Kuppam’s entry into the aviation manufacturing sector.
Heritage Granite Cluster
A dedicated ₹15-crore Heritage Granite Cluster will support the processing and export of the region’s distinctive blue granite while providing marketing support to more than 500 local stone artisans.
Major Facilities Inaugurated
Apart from new investments, Naidu inaugurated several completed industrial and infrastructure projects.
ABIS Proteins Processing Plant
The Chief Minister inaugurated the ₹200-crore ABIS Proteins chicken processing unit, spread across 30.75 acres.
The automated facility has been built to international standards and will integrate regional poultry farmers through contract farming arrangements, creating a stable market for producers.
MSME Park Ready for Entrepreneurs
Naidu inaugurated a 44-acre APIIC MSME Park at Pogurupalle, comprising 167 industrial plots for micro, small and medium enterprises.
He urged young entrepreneurs to utilise the park instead of depending solely on government employment.
Solar Infrastructure
The government also launched a ₹28-crore rooftop solar programme, providing free solar systems to 7,489 SC and ST households.
In addition, five new RESCO substations, built at a cost of ₹25 crore, were commissioned to ensure reliable power supply for upcoming industries.
Leveraging Kuppam’s Strategic Location
The government plans to leverage Kuppam’s strategic location at the junction of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to develop the region into a manufacturing, logistics and services hub.
The industrial roadmap also focuses on promoting clean energy, advanced manufacturing, food processing, aerospace, biotechnology and value-added agriculture while maintaining environmental sustainability.
The Chief Minister said the government intends to preserve 70% of Kuppam’s green cover even as industrialisation gathers pace.
