In a major boost to the green energy and industrial sectors, the Andhra Pradesh government has issued official orders allocating 45 acres of land to SAF One India SPCompact Private Limited to set up a state-of-the-art Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production plant in Kakinada.
The project entails a massive investment of ₹1,835 crores and is poised to accelerate the state’s economic and industrial growth.
Key Highlights of the Project
Land Allocation: The AP Maritime Board will lease 45 acres of land to the company on an “as-is-where-is” basis.
Lease Terms: The land is allocated on a 30-year long-term lease. Lease rentals and processing charges will be fixed as per standard government regulations.
Investment & Employment: The ₹1,835 crore manufacturing unit is expected to create 2,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities for local youth.
Strict Timeline: The government has mandated that development and construction works must commence within 15 months of land allotment.
This initiative marks a significant step toward making Andhra Pradesh a hub for eco-friendly industrial alternatives. Sustainable Aviation Fuel plays a critical role in reducing carbon emissions in the global aviation sector.
